Ruiz Foods Ranks 20th Among the Top 500 U.S. Hispanic Businesses

Ruiz Foods, the nation's largest frozen Mexican food manufacturer, is ranked 20th among the top 500 Hispanic-owned businesses and 5th among the top 10 U.S.

ranked 20th among the top 500 Hispanic-owned businesses and 5th
among the top 10 U.S. Hispanic-owned manufacturing companies according
to the June, 2003 issue of Hispanic Business magazine. In 2002,
Ruiz Foods was ranked 26th.

California hosts the largest number of the top 500 Hispanic-owned
businesses (117) and Ruiz Foods is the 3rd largest. The first and
second, respectively, are: healthcare and automotive companies.
Established in 1964, by Fred Ruiz and his father, Louis, Ruiz Foods
is a privately held corporation with over 1300 employees. Situated
on over 40 acres, Ruiz Foods manufactures over 200 products in their
300,000-square-foot facility.
