DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Key Account Manager in charge of all sales activities and initiatives for specific direct and indirect Northern California customers
  • Responsible for achieving annual sales and profit targets
  • Manage promotional funds to budget, with a focus on achieving maximum return on investment
  • Responsible for promotional planning and volume forecasting
  • Execute MAPS initiatives (Merchandising, Assortment, Promotions, and Shelving) appropriately for each customer
  • Supports the day-to-day operations of the Northern California Retail sales team, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals
  • Work with and coordinate planning with CCR Retail Merchandiser
  • Develop, maintain and improve business relations with Northern California customers
  • Seek out and target new sales opportunities, initiate action plans to secure new business for the Company
  • Leverage syndicated consumption data and internal sales statistics to identify sales issues and opportunities, and to maximize sales and profit
  • Work collaboratively with customers as category partner, to create win-win situations that generate profitable and sustainable sales growth for both the company and the customer
  • Participate in the development of the strategic sales and trade plan for Northern California customers

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a sales capacity in consumer product goods
  • Frozen Foods category experience a plus
  • Northern California sales management experience a plus, especially with small chain and independent supermarkets
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High-energy and a self-starter
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally both internally with Marketing, Finance, Demand Planning and Customer Service as well as externally with brokers and customers
